Daniel S. Smith - Founding Attorney
For over a decade, Daniel has represented clients ranging from individuals and businesses of all sizes through every phase of litigation against some of the largest and resourceful adversaries in the nation. Since founding the firm in 2019, Daniel’s clients have been awarded 6-figure, 7-figure, and 8-figure recoveries via settlement, trial, appeals, and arbitration.
The firm focuses on business disputes, injury cases, and real estate law, employment law, insurance coverage, and fractional general counsel services. Daniel began his career at a nationwide insurance defense firm representing insurance companies and large corporations in injury and insurance coverage matters. Before starting the firm, he also worked at a leading Miami-based firm representing some of the nation’s most successful real estate developers, as well as victims of catastrophic injuries caused by the negligence of others.
Daniel’s experience as a litigator has supported his transactional and pre-litigation representation of clients to avoid escalation of disputes, where
possible. Specifically, Daniel also provides counsel to individuals and businesses on a variety of contract matters and alternative dispute resolution options, like mediation.
Daniel was born and raised in Miami Beach. He now resides in South Miami with his wife and two children.

Jose Smith - Of Counsel
Mr. Smith graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Law in 1973. After gaining considerable litigation and appellate experience at a prestigious Miami law firm, Mr. Smith founded his own firm in North Miami Beach in 1983. He was a Florida Bar Board Certified Trial Lawyer from 1992-1997. In 1997, he was elected to the Miami Beach City Commission, where he served with distinction until 2005. Thereafter, he was unanimously appointed to serve as Miami Beach city attorney, holding the position until 2014. He then served as city attorney in North Miami Beach until 2018. Over the last 20 years, Mr. Smith has been involved in virtually all local government law aspects.
From complex litigation to Sunshine Law, Public Records, government ethics, and procurement transactions, Mr. Smith has developed unique, well-rounded expertise in identifying complex legal problems and finding practical solutions for his municipal clients. He currently serves as Special Magistrate for the City of North Miami.
